The AW86 system has been designed and engineered to support the construction of high-rise building envelopes where “unitised” frames are fabricated in the factory and installed on site by crane without the use of scaffolding or external access.
On site, the installation of the “unitised” system enables workers to work from the inside of the building in a total safety, whilst dramatically reducing installation time and ensuring a high-quality standard of installed finished components.
AW86 offers two architectural solutions:
The S variant in which the elements of the facade are characterised by the structural bonding of the glazing provides a frameless glass facade externally.
The B variant in which an exterior glazing bead mechanically holds the glass. This provides a framed external façade.
The “unitized” frames are all fabricated in the factory, which dramatically reduces installation time and ensures a high-quality standard of installed finished components.
